TERRI TERRI
“LOVERS IN NO TIME”
Terri Terri is the solo project of composer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Noseworthy. Noseworthy continues to write and produce his own music during his time off as a Magnetic Zero. ‘Lovers in No Time’ was written, recorded and performed alone in isolation with the addition of female vocals by former bandmate Odessa Jorgensen. ‘Lovers in No Time’ is a haunting duet representing a cerebral look at the pursuit of a new love interest and the vulnerability in which it uncovers. A memory of the yearning for a certain human connection.
The video for ‘Lovers in No Time’ is directed by Noseworthy’s partner, visual artist, Britt Bogan. Longtime friend and collaborator, Mishel Prada, helped produce and stars in the music video. Prada is most recently known for her role in the hit show Vida. Bogan pairs with cinematographer Alexis Zabe from Florida Project, filming both characters separately, a reflection of the year 2020. The video depicts the surreal vigor of desire for another in early courtship. The lyrical implications of missed connections and relentless attempts are shown though vulnerable moments and peacock imagery inspired from a found photo from the early 20th century. Mishel’s character begins the video with indifference towards Mark, but feelings intensify during a date over shrimp, oysters and quail eggs. Eyes appearing at random representing the potency of being seen in the first encounters with another. Eyes so piercing a person can feel completely naked. Fingers walking on ice. The hands of the “peacock” ultimately make their way on Mishel’s body, then moving in sync with her motion eluding to the fact that she’s been willingly captured. Eye swallowed.
