In 1969 Leonard Bernstein described his 1963 recording of French composer Hector Berlioz’ symphony fantastic in 1930 as the first psychedelic symphony to be composed, 100 years before the dawn of the psychedelic movement of the 60s.
Hedi Slimane discovered symphony fantastic at 11, which formed an inspirational, passionate view on the peace by the then young composer.
For winter 2024 Slimane brought back tailoring for Celine and the purity of tradition. Taking cues from 60s tailoring inspired by anglomania of the 19th century, frock coats, three button suits, embroidered waist coats took the stage for the silhouette composed of the most luxuriant fabrics of silk cashmere and Vicuna. Matte black satin and lacquer were the colorations and textual offerings for this immaculate collection.
