West Hollywood EDITION recently presented its festive collaboration with multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and florist Becky Hearn for the hotel’s 2024 holiday centerpiece: The Tree of Memory. This innovative installation will debut on November 28th in the hotel’s lobby, offering guests and visitors a one-of-a-kind immersive experience through New Year’s Eve.

Renowned for her visionary work in the music and fashion industries—including partnerships with FWRD and Revolve—and as the founder of the celebrated floral design studio Bucky’s Flowers, Becky Hearn brings her storytelling artistry to this year’s EDITION holiday showcase.

The Tree of Memory reimagines the traditional Christmas tree as a sculptural work of art, combining floral composition with cutting-edge technology. The installation incorporates a digital media element: an integrated video camera that captures and projects live footage of participants onto a display screen. Guests are invited to interact with the tree, creating personal, memorable moments as part of the artwork itself.

“My vision for The Tree of Memory is to transform the familiar symbol of the Christmas tree into a dynamic and interactive experience where guests become part of the art,” says Becky Hearn. “This piece reflects my approach as a director and photographer, merging natural beauty with visual storytelling to create something truly memorable and unique.”

To complement the festive atmosphere, the Lobby Bar will feature a special seasonal cocktail, the Holiday Helper, available throughout December. Crafted in partnership with Punch, the cocktail blends Ketel One Vodka, Drambuie, vanilla, lime, and Boiron passion fruit puree. Priced at $20, proceeds from Holiday Helper will benefit School on Wheels, a nonprofit organization providing free tutoring and mentoring to K-12 students experiencing homelessness in Southern California.
